Google Local Guides is a new service provided by Google. The main objective of which is to share pictures, answer questions, addition or updating any place in Google Map and providing with the review and rating to the Map of the tourist attractions, restaurants, institutions, hospitals, universities and historical patterns to the tourists.
What’s your go-to cafe? Which art gallery hosts the most interesting exhibits? What restaurant serves the tastiest brunch? Local Guides help millions of people in the Google Maps community feel at home in the world, anywhere they go.
For example, it can be said; many tourists come to our country. They can easily be comfortable about the quality of the tourist attractions, restaurants, and facilities through local guides.
Any person from the belonging country of using Google Map can be the Local Guide. In that case, the person needs to be above 18 years.
Anyone can participate as a volunteer in Google Map. The person just needs to have a Desktop or laptop with an internet connection or any smartphone. A Google email account is a must and need to sign up to the link http://g.co/LocalGuides
Organizations, brands, and businesses are not eligible for the program.
As a Local Guide, you’ll help others explore the world and get great benefits in return. It’s a win-win. Every place you improve on Google Maps earns you points toward unlocking something new.
The benefit is totally correlative as the main purpose is to represent our country globally. There are five levels of Local Guides are functioning, levels are depended on the numbers of points. You can get points by upload photos, share reviews, add new places, fix information & answer questions. Each level has different advantages or benefits. If you are level 3 local guides, you get noticed with your Local Guides badge in Google Maps. Connect with other Local Guides in our exclusive Google+ Community, Lead the conversation by moderating Local Guides community channels & Receive invites to Google-hosted events in select cities.
If you are level 4 local guides, you are eligible to be featured in Local Guides online channels & Receive an annual thank you gift.
Finally, If you are level 5 local guides, you can be a Google insider, testing new products before public release and you can apply to attend our Level 5 Local Guides summit.
If you continue your review of the local guides, you can get an invitation to join any event in the town. In that case, good quality of review needs to be done regularly.
Being a Local Guide is kind of a big deal. You might persuade someone to check out a new place, or pass it up and try somewhere else. Here are some tips to make your contributions the best they can be.
The review has to be authentic, well-organized, justified and balanced for any product or service. Above all, you have to act as a responsible citizen and represent the countrywith excellence.
